CP RAIL – LABOUR UPDATE- WESTERN CANADA.
Unions involved with CP labour negotiations have rejected CP’s final offer. The unions have provided the required 72 hours strike notice suggesting rail operations could be halted at 10:00P:M on Tuesday May 29th, 2018.
Maritime-Ontario Freight Lines have been monitoring the situation very closely over the last few weeks, and have already diverted some traffic to partner carrier, Canadian National Railway.
Maritime-Ontario will endeavor to manage existing customers traffic only, and will will refrain from taking on additional traffic from non Maritime-Ontario customers in order to maintain fluidity where possible.
Please continue to monitor our web-site for further updates, and or http://www.cpr.ca/en/media/news.
