Service Update: Update for Delays Due to Hurricane Fiona - September 22, 2022
Please note that Hurricane Fiona is expected to approach parts of Atlantic Canada late Friday, September 23 into Saturday, September 24.
In preparation for the storm, CN will:
Halt all local switching and mainline carload trains in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia from Friday, September 23 at 18:00 to Saturday, September 24 at 18:00, and
Close the gates and halt operations at the Port of Halifax, Halifax intermodal Terminal and Moncton Intermodal Terminal between Friday, September 23 at 18:00 to Saturday, September 24 at 18:00.
Train departures are expected to be delayed 48-72 hours, and currently the Friday night train departure has been cancelled.
These plans are subject to change based on weather and track conditions, and we will continue to monitor and communicate additional information as it is made available.
